Terms of Service

By accessing and using Shattered Empire and its associated services you agree to these Terms of Service.
Please read them carefully.

1. Account Terms

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account

2. Multi-Accounting Policy

• A maximum of three accounts can be online simultaneously from the same IP
• Using scripts to control multiple accounts on the same PC is prohibited
• Exceptions may be granted for large households, college dorms, or similar situations
• Each player is limited to a maximum of 30 accounts to prevent abuse of our systems

3. Prohibited Activities

• No cheating, hacking, or exploiting game mechanics
• No use of external programs (Cheat Engine, XML/DLL Abuse, etc.)
• No use of automated scripts or bots
• No harassment, hate speech, or inappropriate behavior
• No advertising or spamming in-game or on Discord
• No NSFW content, including excessive gore, nudity, racism, violence, or sexual content
• No impersonation of staff members or other players
• No ban evasion - banned users who rejoin without an approved appeal will be banned again

4. Discord Server Rules

• 0 tolerance on political views, this including profile pictures, names, tags, reactions
• Use each channel according to its designated purpose
• No Impersonation of staff members or other players
• Resolve disagreements through private messages, not public channels
• No attacking or harassing others, including bullying or leaking private messages
• Do not contact or ping the Developers directly. Using the reply function is fine in normal conversation, but replying to unrelated previous messages just to get their attention is not allowed. Use the ticket system or contact the Community Managers or Moderators instead.
• No ping spam or excessive mentions of individuals
• No NSFW content, including excessive gore, nudity, racism, violence, or sexual content
• Pinging everyone (@everyone, @here) is strictly forbidden
• Select your Roles by checking out the role-selection channel

5. Giveaway Rules

• Each person is allowed only one Discord account for giveaways
• Entering with multiple accounts is prohibited
• Participants must have an account on Shattered Empire
• Giveaway rewards are non-transferable

6. Enforcement and Penalties

Violations of these terms will be handled as follows:

• First violation: Warning
• Second violation: Warning
• Third violation: One-week ban
• Subsequent violations: Permanent ban
• Breaking the same rule twice: Immediate one-week ban
• Severe violations may result in instant permanent ban
• Discord violations may result in game bans and vice versa

7. Timeouts and Temporary Bans

Temporary bans may be issued for rule violations. During this period:

• Users will be unable to access the game and Discord server
• The duration will be based on violation severity
• This serves as a cooling-off period to address issues
• Banned users that rejoin without an approved appeal will be banned again
• Attempting to evade a ban by using alternate accounts is strictly prohibited
• Any accounts confirmed to be owned by the banned individual will also be banned
• Accounts accessed by the banned user but owned by others may receive a warning or other disciplinary action
• Note: This also applies to permanent bans

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
